Joining Others for Youth
J.O.Y. is our Youth partnership initiative within the community to meet the needs of children and youth in the Metro East area.
Community School Partnership - We also have some unique partnerships with Lilly Freeman Elementary School and Avant Elementary School to offer character development seminars, coat and food drives as well as offering mentors for both schools.
Tuesday Night Fellowship - we offer a time for youth to further their spiritual development with the mentoring, computer lab, praise dance, music, and other programs in partnership with Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood Association.
Trinity Praise Team – is a combination of two teams into one that comprises girls from Jr. High – High School age who meet each Tuesday’s at 6:00 pm. We have a great team of ladies that assist the young ladies to perform 6 times per year. They are also open to performing for you and others in the community as well.
Dial Up Program – this is a unique program we adopted from Union Memorial UM church. This program seeks to keep connected with our youth by offering them a basic cell phone if they faithfully attend Sunday School and Youth Discipleship. Each month if they gain perfect attendance they receive more minutes on their cell phone.
Children’s Church – This is a new initiative that seeks to allow children in older Elementary to 6th grade are invited to participate in an interactive and dynamic way of learning how to be Christ like in your Childs daily life. We utilize the “Young Explorer” material for our program. They meet the second and third Sunday of each month in the Children’s Church Room.
Gentlemen’s Society Program – Will be coming this fall Trinity will become a partner with the Gentlemen’s Society out of Arlington, Texas. This program will concentrate on helping young men in the Metro East community to become gentlemen that respects themselves and others.
